The necessity of saving water due to drought is being discussed more and more frequently. Hydrologists warn that this summer could bring one of the worst droughts in Poland's history.
Know that without water, you can survive up to 10 days, assuming the temperature is around 21℃ and you don't exert yourself. You might think that a complete lack of water won't happen to you. You could be wrong, as we are already facing drought, and rainfall is "scarce."
Did you know that each of us uses an average of 150 liters of water per day? Here’s how we use water:
This is a lot, and brushing teeth with the tap running uses 19 liters each time, which amounts to about 33,000 liters annually!
We have an impact on everything, so what can we do to save water while brushing our teeth?
Contrary to appearances, it is not difficult. There are products like MRD tooth powder that do not require water for brushing and rinsing teeth. Moreover, not rinsing the mouth after using the powder allows for better and longer protection of teeth and maintaining a healthy pH in the mouth.
Want to be eco-friendly? Turn off the water!
Brushing teeth without using water is extremely simple: put a bit of powder on a dry toothbrush and start brushing thoroughly. Brushing should last at least two minutes, regardless of whether you use a manual or electric toothbrush. During these two minutes, no water is used, and the tap is turned off. This way, we save water.
If we can take care of the environment and water, let's start with the simplest things. From today, let's brush our teeth without using water!
